| Went surfing yesterday for the first time!! Even though we bought our longboard from a friend almost a year ago... this was the first time I had the chance to take it out for a spin. And it was soooo much fun! Of course they were only baby waves, but I swam out, i got up and I surfed to shore. I think i did quite well for my first time out. And look how big the board is compared to me!! I didnt even realize it until I saw the picture, but it looks huge!

| Feeling in kind of a wierd mood right now. Not really sure what i'm feeling actually. I just feel like blogging about something..... and like saying something meaningful. But i dont really have anything meaningful to say. I feel proud. I feel sad. I feel torn. I feel anxious. I feel overwhelmed. I feel resentment. I'm probably writing in this "I feel..." way because of my acting classes, which just ended. Maybe i'm going through withdrawels. Anyway, I get frustrated sometimes with myself... for various reasons. | | |
| Hei Alle Sammen! That means hi everyone :) I am currently visiting my sister in Norway who happens to be a week away from her due date ... We are having a great time and time is moving slowly which is really nice. It is soooo warm here compared to normal.. it's almost hot! And very sunny everyday so far. It's hard for me to remember to get to bed since the sun doesnt set until after 11pm and then rises again around 3:30am... craziness :) I am helping her move into thier new house that they just bought and then we are going to get the baby room set up and ready to go before she gives birth. We have taken a lot of really good pictures so far... thats fun. | | |
| I have been wanting to paint a large canvas to fill this particular space on my wall for almost a year. And i have always been fond of painting but never had the materials or the motivation to do it. But this past September, for my birthday, some friends of mine who i had shared with them this desire of mine, bought me a gift card to an art store! With which I purchased my first canvas!! It is rather large as well, about 3.5 feet x 2.5 feet. And it fills the space on the wall perfectly. Anyway, these friends of mine also allowed me to go over to thier place and use thier materials to make my paining. They explained to me that by using acrylic paints it would dry quickly and then i could easily paint over anything i didnt like and i could continue to change things as i learned better what i wanted. So I did my first attemp in that 4 hour session. I knew it would probably take me several passes before I really liked my painting, but for some reason I didnt take a picture of it. Recently, I took my second pass at it, adding color and adding texture and blending things a lot. I have decided to start documenting the progress of this painting and posting it here. Here you can see the painting that inspired me...
and here is my painting so far...

| We left off last post after visiting the Blarney Stone. Next is our road trip through the lower Western part of Ireland.
Bryan loved this shot:
I love THIS shot: (can you spot the Amy?)
And I will end our road trip collage with this neat pic:
Then we were off to Glasgow, Scotland! Here is the cool train station:
We thought this Apple store was pretty fancy shmancy...
And, of course, i couldnt miss my opportunity:
Then we went to Norway. Here are two of my very good freinds that we met up with in Oslo:
And here I am with my cousins:
And this is one of my third cousin's who i met for the first time during this trip:
We had a lot of fun! This is one of our good friends, Hans Peter. As you can tell, he is a police man. We stayed with them part of the time.
And i will end this photo journal with our Backpacker Shot:
